NJTurnpike, Garden State Parkway – Contract No. P200.199

This job involves the widening of the Garden State Parkway mainline from Milepost 83.5 to 88.5 as part of the overall improvement project that extends to Milepost 99.5. This section will provide for 12 foot wide left and right shoulders, widening of travel lanes to 12 feet wide, incorporation of pavement superelevation and transitions to NJTA standards, roadside treatments and establishment of clear zones consistent with NJTA standards.

Rt. 1&9T St. Paul’s Ave. Bridge

The Rt. 1&9 St. Paul’s Ave. Bridge project, is one of the largest single contracts ever awarded by the NJDOT. The project involved constructing 11 bridges and 45 retaining walls, and the demolition of 5 existing bridges in the area of Tonnelle Ave., and the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City, NJ.

Rehabilitation of Raritan Valley Undergrade Bridge 22.62 over Richmond St.

NJ Transit initiated a program designed to increase the clearance of the Raritan Valley Line crossings through the City of Plainfield. The original bridge over Richmond Street was one of the first in the program and dated back more than a century. The rehabilitation of the deteriorated bridge structure while maintaining the historical significance presented a unique challenge.

PN 654.522 – Expressrail Port Newark Phase 2A – Flyover

The Port Newark Flyover bridge project is a unique project with many different types of construction activities compressed into a relatively compact area. The project is mainly a “U” shape bridge spanning over Corbin Street and Ports America’s train tracks operated by Conrail.

Emergency Repair of the Roebling Embankment

NJTransit discovered a slope failure along their RiverLINE Light rail tracks in September, 2011 shortly after several major rainstorms, including Hurricane Irene and the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee. The existing location involves two light rail tracks running at the bottom of a very steep slope along the edge of a Delaware River tributary.

Contract P200.258 Slope Stabilization and Shoulder Restoration

Work began on this emergency slope repair contract in September, 2011. The exit ramp that connects Rt.440 and Smith Street to Garden State Parkway SB in Woodbridge Township, suffered damage from the extremely wet summer and fall seasons.

New Jersey Route 70 over Manasquan River

The Rt. 70 Bridge project involved the staged erection of two fixed bridges to replace a drawbridge constructed circa 1936 over the Manasquan River. The southern bridge was constructed first to hold both east and westbound traffic while the drawbridge was demolished, then, the northern bridge was constructed in its place.

Hudson Bergen Light Rail Extension, Phase MOS-3 (Design – Build)

This was a Design Build project in which we were responsible for the design and construction of a 4,500 foot long extension of the current Hudson Bergen Light Rail System. This extension consists of a single track expansion of the existing rail line from 22nd Street to 8th Street in Bayonne, NJ.

NJDOT Route 52 Causeway, Contract A1

The Rt. 52, Contract A1 project is the first of two projects to replace the existing roadway and bridges between Ocean City and Somers Point, NJ. The project is one of the largest ever awarded by the NJDOT, and by far the largest roadway project in Southern New Jersey’s history.

Rt. 1&9, Section 4T

The Rt. 1&9, Section 4T project involves the staged erection of two bridges to replace the historic Elizabeth Viaduct constructed circa 1929 over the Elizabeth River and the Downtown Market Place. The eastern bridge was constructed first to hold both north and southbound traffic while the existing viaduct was demolished to make room for the western bridge that was constructed in its place.
