As we work to renew our Health Insurance Program on March 1, 2017, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know of one change that will be forthcoming. Effective with our renewal on March 1, 2017 we will be changing our Pharmacy Benefit Provider, moving to NAVITUS and away from CIGNA. {Please note though, CIGNA will remain our Doctor/Hospital/Lab etc. Network provider}.
In making this switch, we anticipate savings of approximately $70,000 in our prescription drug costs for the policy year beginning March 1, 2017 and ending February 28, 2018. This is a significant savings for all of our participants. Unfortunately, when we make this switch, CVS Pharmacies will NOT be in our Network, making prescriptions filled at those pharmacies Out-of-Network, causing the participant to be responsible for any related deductibles, co-insurances and fees in excess of reasonable and customary. Although CVS will not be in our Pharmacy Network, NAVITUS does have over 45,000 Network Pharmacies nationwide. A listing of their Participating Pharmacies can be found in the spreadsheet below.
